Bangsar

The expansion and growth of Bangsar as an entertainment paradise attracts large number of expatriates to move to the area. Bangsar, a modern suburb with a large assortment of housing choices, apartments, townhouses, and single-family houses. However, the land area in Bangsar is not too large compared to Damansara Heights.

Located 7km west of KL City Center, Bangsar is strategically situated between Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya and has become a central location that connects major roads and destination. Driving to KL City Centre is only 15-20 minutes. KL Sentral – the central hub of transportation in Malaysia is only further down in Brickfields. KL Sentral  is an integrated transportation hub with a City Air Terminal, KLIA Express, Monorial, Putra LRT (Light Rail Transit), KTM (train) and taxis - all in one place! 

If driving, one can approach Bangsar from: 

• Jalan Maarof via Jalan Bangsar for those from Cheras, KL City, KL Sentral or Brickfields                                                         
• Bukit Bandaraya for those coming from PJ, Damansara, Kiara, Sri Hartamas, Duta & etc.                                                    
• Pantai Hills via turn offs from the Federal Highway for those traveling from KL or PJ                                                               
• Mid Valley via turn offs from Federal Highway 

Bangsar Shopping Centre and Bangsar Village are two shopping complexes in this area where most expats do their groceries and shopping. Within the vicinity of the housing area are numerous pubs, cafes, restaurants and amenities such as banks, post office that opens till 10 at night, heart centers, clinics, laundry, art galleries, shops, salons and boutiques. Bangsar Baru Saturday night market is fun with farmer’s market as well. There are plenty of kindergartens in this area. However, there are no major schools but this area is not too far from Garden International School and Mont Kiara International School.
