Ampang

Ampang is certainly a high-class residential area populated by large number of expatriates. It is located at the east of Kuala Lumpur City Centre along Jalan Ampang, which is the main road of Ampang and surrounding the Royal Selangor Golf Course. Ampang is relatively close to central KL, and is a short drive along Jalan Ampang or the new overhead expressway.
 
The area has a large assortment of housing choices with quite a number of older houses and some new condominiums. Majority of the foreign embassies and high commissions are located along Jalan Ampang. Therefore, many diplomats choose to stay here. Schools within the neighborhood are the ISKL, Sayfol, Mutiara and Fairview International School. Other than schools, shopping centres, foreign embassies and high commissions, there are also few of the best medical centers around such as Gleneagles Intan Medical Centre, Ampang Puteri Specialist Centre and Ampang Hospital.
